Indian Overseas Bank has invited online applications from eligible individuals for the engagement of apprentices, under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and as per the Apprenticeship Policy of the Bank on its official website. The Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 is divided into various stages such as Online Examination, test of local language and personal interaction.
It is imperative to check the selection process as it will help candidates prepare for all the stages in advance and increase their chances of qualifying for the exam. However, candidates must note that merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle an aspirant to be shortlisted for Online Examination and personal interaction.
Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 for Online Written Exam
The first stage of the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 is the written exam. Candidates must check the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice exam pattern before commencing the exam preparation. It provides insights into the exam requirements and marking system of the written exam. The online written exam comprises a total of 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks.
Candidates will be required to obtain a minimum percentage mark on aggregate as determined by the Bank (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 for Local Language Test
The next round of the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 shall be a local language test. Individuals applying for training seats in a specific state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of the state (to be prescribed during the calling of the applications).
The local language test will be conducted for the candidates declared successful in the online written examination. The test for knowledge of the specified opted local language will be administered as part of the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice selection process. It will be held at the time of document verification.
Candidates who are declared unsuccessful in this test will not be engaged for apprenticeship. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate as proof of having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Selection Process 2024 for Document Verification/Personal Interaction
All the candidates declared successful in the written exam and local language test will be shortlisted for the document verification round. The following documents in original together with a self-attested Xerox in support of the candidate’s eligibility and identity are to be submitted during the Personal interaction/reporting. Those who fail to submit the documents will not be permitted to appear for personal interaction / join as apprentices. The list of documents needed for scrutiny is as follows:
- Printout of the valid communication for Personal Interaction/reporting
- Printout of the email from BFSI SSC containing the candidate’s data submitted while filling out the online application form.
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
- Photo Identify Proof such as a Passport/ Aadhaar / e-Aadhaar Card / PAN Card/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card.
- Consolidated Mark sheets & relevant certificates for educational qualifications.
- Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India in case of SC / ST / OBC/ EWS category candidates
- Disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board in case of
